A new year just begun opens the door to the second edition of “Cisterna Film Festival – International Festival of Short Films” organised by MOBilitazioni Artistiche under the artistic direction of Cristian Scardigno.
Also for 2016 will be the historic Palazzo Caetani of Cisterna di Latina the place dedicated to host the event, a place which aim is to give space to the talent of young filmmakers and independent works, from around the world as well as becoming a meeting point for all professionals of this sector.
After many successes achieved in 2015, starting with the incredible participation of thousands of filmmakers who sent about 3,500 short films from over 80 countries around the world, we are ready to go!
Well, registration is now open for sending short films. The two categories of last edition have been reconfirmed: the official competition of the concourse 2016 and the non-competitive category of video art. Works that will converge in this section, at the discretion of the artistic director, will be screened in the exhibition space of the historic Palazzo Caetani in Cisterna, in a photographic exhibition collateral to Cisterna Film Festival, and it is already possible to apply, according to the announcement.
The new edition brings with it a great novelty. It opens this year the new competitive category NEXT GENERATION: artistic director will select between short films sent, those who fit best to an audience of children and young people under 18. These films will be screened in events dedicated, always in Palazzo Caetani, during the festival but with a different timetable. It will be the young audience to designate the winner of the section, which will be reprojected into the final evening of the Cisterna Film Festival at the awards ceremony.
The closing date for entering the competition is on March 31st 2016.
