An important milestone was reached by one of the guests of the third edition of the Cisterna Film Festival: director Sebastiano Rizzo with his film “Gramigna” obtained a nomination for the upcoming David di Donatello and will compete in the David Giovani section.

Director and actor, Sebastiano Rizzo began his career as a theater actor, where he debuted in 1999 with “Fonopoli: parole in movimento” by Lorenzo De Feo. In 2011, his directorial debut with “Il paradiso può aspettare“, the first theatrical show for deaf people. In 2012, he began his cooperation with the Draka Production with the direction of the short film “La Ricotta e il Caffè” (2012), presented at the Taormina Film Festival, and after several video clips and documentaries. In the meantime, he continues to act, both in theatre and in several fiction and television series. In 2014, he directed his first work, “Nomi e Cognomi”, followed by “Gramigna” in 2017. Rizzo was involved in a workshop for kids dedicated to acting, here in Cisterna.
