JURY
KARLA BAČIĆ-JELINČIĆ: She has a master’s degree in sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and has majored in cultural studies. Her background is cultural management, including production and promotion of festivals and cultural events. Currently she is working in the Department of promotion and festivals in Croatian Audiovisual Centre – a government-backed strategic agency for the audiovisual sector in Croatia – which is in charge of promoting Croatian films, authors and film professionals in Croatia and abroad.
CRISTINA BORSATTI: Screenwriter, story editor, journalist and writer, who has collaborated in the making of numerous films and documentaries. In 2001 she began her career as a story editor for cinema and television. She has written essays and articles for “Film TV”, “Il Manifesto”, “La Rivista del Cinematografo” and “Il Cinecorriere”, as well as publishing “Writing for cinema and television” and “Writing screenplays. From the big to the small screen.” She has taught at the University of Trieste and since 2004 has been involved in the Annual Screenplay Course at the Griffith Academy. Screenwriter of the film “The Longest Night” (2021), written with the director Simone Aleandri, the writer Andrea Di Consoli, and selected for the Turin Film Festival. In 2022 published the monographic volume “Monica Vitti” for Giunti Editore.
ADRIANO DELLA STARZA: A lecturer in literature at Liceo Classico “G. Carducci” in Cassino, he also runs a YouTube channel, “Il Collezionista di Ombre”, for which he reviews and analyzes films, monographs on directors, in-depth studies on genres, the history of cinema, as well as interviews with industry critics and experts.
FRANCESCO DI PIERRO: He was born in 1980. He studied photography applied to cinema and new media and graduated in the Scuola Civica in 2004. Since then, he has worked in feature films, short films, commercials, documentaries, music videos and video art around the world. His photography has received Best Cinematography Camera Du Sang Award at Portland Horror Film Festival 2020 award and Best Cinematography Award at Valdarno Cinema Fedic Festival 2017 award, among others. Among his main titles: the feature film “Regina” (2020), the short-films “Bismillah” (David di Donatello 2018), “Moby Dick” (Silver Ribbons 2017), “Babbo Natale” (MigrArti Award – Venice Film Festival), “Dove l’acqua con altra acqua si confonde” (nomination at David di Donatello 2016).
